The
concept of compact shelving or mobile
moveable shelving systems are to eliminate wasted unproductive aisles requiring
3 feet for access. A compact shelving system compacts aisles with generally only
1 accessible aisle available in a total system giving you 50% of your floor space
back.
Productivity
Rating: Compact shelving systems have the highest storage density
of any filing system available on the market allows up to a maximum of 40 file
actions per hour. This translates into a fair productivity rating and can slow
down active environments where employees are moving in and out of collapsible
aisles searching for files.
Mobile
Shelving - moveable compact shelving system on a moveable carriage
moving from left to right or right to left on a seismically anchored track. Mobile
Shelving systems can be moved manually (not recommended for ergonomic or ADA
safety guidelines), mechanically
assisted (most common application) with a rotating handle on the end panel
of each movable carriage or electronically
(safest option) with a motor on each movable carriage. Movable carriages can be
as deep as the space available, with carriages in some applications over 80 feet
long. See our CAD Drawing
section of the Web site for an example of how these systems move.
Lateral
Shelving Systems- compact shelving system with two or three shelving
sections deep that are moveable from side to side. These systems are moved manually
and are not recommended for ergonomic or ADA
safety guidelines.
